CREOKS received funding for Strong Roots, Secure Futures program which will significantly strengthen its ability to serve children aged 0-5 and their families by training 12 clinicians across the CREOKS service area in Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) and launching the Celebrating Families! program at its Broken Arrow location. Together, these investments will expand the CREOKS staff’s clinical skill set, strengthen children and family services, and give parents and caregivers access to structured tools that promote connection, stability, recovery and resilience.
Training 12 clinicians in COSP will have an immediate impact as it will increase the number of staff who can incorporate attachment-focused parenting support into their work with children and caregivers. This matters because many families do not need a generic parenting class, they need help understanding why a child’s behavior escalates, what the child may be communicating through that behavior and how a caregiver can respond in a way that builds safety, regulation, and trust. COSP gives clinicians a shared language and a practical framework for those conversations. By building a broader internal pool of COSP-trained staff, CREOKS will also strengthen consistency across our service area and develop a durable skill base that can continue benefiting families well beyond the grant period.
