Family Resource Centers (FRCs) are community-based hubs that offer a variety of support and services to strengthen families. They provide a range of resources, at no cost, tailored to meet the specific needs of the local community and the families they serve. FRCs aim to improve family well-being and outcomes by offering preventive services and building informal and formal support systems that help children and families thrive.FRCs are flexible, family-focused and culturally responsive centers of support that provide warm connections with and among families. FRCs offer a variety of services based on community input and available resources. These services may include but are not limited to, connecting families and children to childcare, mental health services, housing, food pantries, diaper banks, personal and family finance education and parent skill building. The Potts Family Foundation (PFF) is committed to supporting FRCs in Oklahoma, especially in rural communities, which are often most in need of available and accessible services. PFF received American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars in 2023 from the Oklahoma Legislature to fund and support FRCs in rural Oklahoma communities. In 2025, PFF was the recipient of Choosing Childbirth funds from the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) that allowed the Foundation to support additional FRCs in under resourced areas of Oklahoma City.As of September 2025, PFF has awarded a total of $6.9 million to 17 FRCs that serve 34 counties home to more than 51,000 children under the age of 5. Potts Family Foundation is pleased to partner with OSDH in expanding the Oklahoma Family Support Network of FRCs.
